William E. (Bill) Pearson II, is President/Owner of BPEARSON Consulting LLC in Leland, NC and a Principal Consultant at Arthur Freedman Associates, Inc. headquartered in Chicago, IL. He is a Certified Water Technologist (CWT) with more than 40 years’ experience in the water treatment industry – specializing in Legionella risk management. He is also certified by ASSE/IAPMO per Standard 12080 as a Legionella Water & Safety Management Specialist.
Including ASHRAE, Bill has been active in many career-related professional associations. He currently serves as Liaison for the Association of Water Technologies (AWT) to ASHRAE and the Cooling Technology Institute (CTI). He has chaired/vice-chaired several Legionella-related task force, guideline and standard committees at AWT, CTI and ASHRAE – including Standard 188 and Guideline 12-2020.
Bill served on the AWT Board of Directors and was President of AWT in 2003. He received the prestigious Ray Baum Memorial Water Technologist of the Year Award from AWT in 2005.
Bill is a Biology/Medical Biochemistry graduate of East Carolina University and member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE International).
