The objective of the conference is to optimize the utilization of basic energy resources in the major energy consuming sectors in the arid regions of the Arabian Peninsula.
“The world can no longer sustain its current pattern of energy consumption. With climate change becoming increasingly urgent, it is imperative that we all adopt effective energy conservation practices. This challenge is even more pressing in regions with high ambient temperatures, where cooling demands can be extreme—air conditioning alone accounts for up to 70% of energy usage during peak cooling seasons.” “To confront this crisis, we must embrace cleaner alternative energy sources and implement conservation strategies in ways that are open, inclusive, and pragmatic. Ninth International Conference on Energy Research and Development (ICERD 9) will serve as a vital platform, uniting stakeholders from across sectors to collaboratively address this crucial issue and chart a path toward a sustainable energy future,” said Walid Chakroun, Conference Chair.
