Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) in buildings directly impacts human health, well-being, and performance. These conditions are a major part of how people experience the buildings that we inhabit, but they are currently minimally codified and rarely commissioned. This seminar will highlight how indoor air quality, thermal comfort, lighting, and acoustics can affect building occupants. Learn how existing codes and guidelines can be used to design and construct better buildings to serve the community, where research has identified areas to optimize the performance to meet the needs and expectations of the building occupants, and how you can help construct high-performance spaces.
